Simple Dinner Idea - Farmer's Market Stir Fry

Today's post is a quick and easy real food recipe. It requires a minimal number of ingredients and is finished in under 30 minutes. We have this for dinner a few times each month and try to use vegetables that we purchased at the farmer's market

Farmer's Market Stir Fry
Teriyaki Sauce
    ¼ cup soy sauce
    ¾ cup water
1 tbsp peeled & grated ginger
    2 tbsp honey
Stir Fry
    4 servings of brown rice
    2 tbsp oil
2 cups of fresh chopped vegetables
1 lb of your choice of Meat or Seafood
  1. Cook the brown rice according to package directions.
  2. To make the sauce combine the four ingredients (soy sauce, water, ginger & honey) in a small pot over high heat. Bring to a boil and then keep on a low simmer while you prepare the stir fry.
  3. In a wok or sauté pan heat the oil over medium heat then add meat.
  4. Once the meat is cooked through remove it and set aside. Then add the vegetables to the pan.
  5. Once the vegetables are cooked, add the meat and sauce to the pan. Cook for 2 minutes
  6. Serve over the cooked rice

  1. I love this recipe. It seems easy, healthy and fulfilling. Working full time and attending school while taking care of a family can leave very little time to cook and eat healthy. I will be adding this gem to my menus for the family. I look forward to the next recipe post. Loving it!
